Salcajá in Guatemala is the homeland of Jaspe textile production. Jaspe fabrics, known as Ikats in other parts of the world, are traditionally woven by hand by skilled artisans in just a handful of villages. This skilled art has in this instance been translated as an exquisite embroidery on linen.
