With Viva Magenta named as Pantone's Color of the Year 2023, it has been branded as 'an unconventional shade for an unconventional time'. However we see this colour as a display of optimism and joy which balances warmth and coolness perfectly. Expect to see deep rich pinks, elegant reds and purple undertones making there way into the interior design world. Please see below for similar paint hues from our William Yeoward Paint Gallery:

Deep Reds and Vibrant Oranges
Along the same theme as Viva Magenta, deep reds and vibrant oranges are set to make an appearance this year. Why not try our Lady Marmalade paint for a delicious shade that is warm, spicy and enlivening. If you are thinking more of the rich wonderful colours that you find in the spice markets of Marrakech or Istanbul, then look no further than our Spice Market paint colour. Or try our Library paint which is a deep red with just a touch of orange, as this name suggested we think this colour would be be fantastic in a library, study or snug room.

Plaster Pinks
We're seeing a rise in the trend for raw materials and fresh plaster and our shades of pink mimic this effect perfectly. This shade has boomed in popularity over the last couple of years, particularly in fashion and beauty and now it is making a welcome entry in the interior world and we can see why, it offers a playful alternative to grey and creates incredible warmth and lure to a room.
Almost Nude paint colour has an earthy tone to it and will transport you back to holidays in the med. Looks great with warmer neutrals and naturals. For a neutral base that has literally been dusted very lightly with some pink use our Powder paint for a light shade with a darker undertone. Our Mink Pink paint colour uses pink, grey and ecru to create a wonderful neutral shade of colour.

Retro Browns
Retro influences are not new in the interiors world and have been making a steady comeback over the last few years. However the return of the seventies is in full force this year and can predominantly be seen in paint colours, think warm taupes, caramel tones and cosy deep browns. If you are looking to add depth and warmth to your scheme try our Chelsea Bun paint for a richer shade of brown with a hint of red. For a retro hit try our Espresso Martini paint that is true to form and will add a true cocoa bean shade of brown to your interior space. For our truest shade of brown look no further than our Muddy Wellies paint shade.

Black
Black is having a bit is having a bit of a moment so why not consider our Bobby's Tail paint colour? This dark charcoal grey is the closest we get to black and we think the results are magnificent!

Ochre tones
Ochre tones add warmth to any room and this year yellow is set to be a hit. A warm yellow is very versatile and is a shade that has been used in homes for centuries. A rich shade of Ochre has constantly been a firm favourite William Yeoward colour, so why not try our Yeoward Ochre paint colour that is set to be on trend throughout the ages. For a hint of brown with just the right amount of ochre thrown in try our Sandy Paws paint colour. For a more earthy feel try our Lemon Drizzle Cake which is just and warm and comforting as the name suggests!

Jewel-like tones
One of the hottest trend for 2023 is jewel-like tones in interior design. Think of our Crystal Table Lamp colour ways and pair these with our paints and you have an interior match made in heaven. These deep rich colours will be sure to make an impact in your home, bringing a sense of vibrancy and luxury.
