As part of our 40 Year Anniversary we have taken a look back on our iconic Yeoward pieces over the years. We start with the 'Palmer Chair', the first piece of upholstered furniture in the Yeoward collection to be introduced in 1988. It became an instant best seller and still takes pride of place in our 'Benchmade Upholstered Furniture' range today.

The original Palmer Chair started off with a kick pleat skirt and double row of piping, it was later stripped back and modernised to the Palmer Chair we recognise today!

Following the success of the Palmer Chair we introduced the Smoker Chair and then the Alice Dining Chair to the Benchmade Upholstered Furniture range. 

Both chairs inspired by William's dear friend Nina Campbell and our Alice Chair was even named after Nina Campbell's daughter who was born the same year!
