WY Colour Stories | Introducing the 'Ocean' SS22 Colour Story
Rippling shades of emerald, inky blues and tantalising teals come together for our latest SS22 'Ocean' colour story. A literal breath of fresh, seaside air, our 'Ocean' colour story is all about light and airy interiors with a sense of aliveness that invites an inner playfulness, taking us all back to buckets and spades and hours spent soaking up the sunshine by the sea. For a brilliantly serene base, opt for calming ocean shades from the William Yeoward Paint Gallery such as 'Seaside' or 'Sea Ripples'. Evocative with just a touch of grey, these shades are the perfect neutral backdrop for darker shades of teal, Jade and Indigo.
For lighting, opt for the opulent jewel-like shades of the Alfie or Alfie Junior which cascade light across the floor like a rippling pool of water when the sun strikes them. Hand drizzled with clear crystal you can ensure that each Alfie lamp will be completely unique, a cherished addition to your ocean retreat. For the Alfie, or any of our other unique crystal glass table lamps, you might opt for shades such as Blue Steel, Clear, or Turquoise. Another fine option would be our brand new, hand marbled Laurita Lamp in shades Indigo, Cloud or Peacock, it's like they were made for this scheme!
For cushions, we have featured the aptly names 'Sambala - Ocean' with its shimmering threads hand embroidery. This would look fabulous paired with the more demure but equally smart 'Catori - Ocean' cushion with its classic Yeoward stripe.
We have such a wonderful collection of ocean toned rugs, it is difficult to narrow them down to choose one for this colour story - so we shan't! Our interior Design expert Kate has opted for the highly popular (and for good reason!) Draxon Indigo Rug in her take on the Ocean moodboard. 'Imaza - Ocean' with its decorative yet versatile design, 'Onda - Indigo' and 'The Big Blue' are all exceptional rugs for their ocean-like colourings and depth.
No Yeoward scheme would be complete without a trimming or two of our captivating fabrics. For this season we have introduced 'Banjara & Almacan' inspired broadly by the 'Grand Tour' of the 17th and 18th Centuries this collection is aburst with handcrafted artisanal skill and timeless beauty. The Lustleigh print in Indigo feels distinctly British with an exotic twist, reminding us that all journeys start at home. For a beautifully soft but hardworking chenille weave look no further than Malia - Ocean which took centre stage this season covering our new Lulworth modular sofa.
