Rouge & Slate Mood Board

Our Rouge & Slate colour story was inspired by quintessential British towns and villages. Over the last few years limited travel means we have fallen in love with our homes again and this includes the uniquely British countryside, historic towns and villages, beautiful country estates and gardens. We have all spent far more time in our gardens and it seemed entirely appropriate to think about our outdoor spaces as inspiration behind a colour story. Think of a beautiful pink English rose climbing up a trellis of a beautiful Cotswold stone cottage and let us transport you into our story….

The Compton Sofa

We start with our superb new Concept sofa shape 'The Compton', with two new eco fillings that are not only environmentally sustainable (made from recycled bottles) but incredibly plump and comfortable. Upholstered here in our fabulous Irene Rouge fabric from our latest Pensthorpe fabric collection. Add some of our Rouge & Slate SS23 cushions and you have a sight to behold.

Our Barrington Rouge cushion has been hand block printed on linen with exquisite embroidery, our Dartley Rouge cushion features a fine jute cord stitched over a soft linen ground before being embellished with swirls of embroidered highlights in a myriad of shades. Our Coleridge Rouge cushion has an unmistakable vintage feel with its graphic tiled design which has been block printed by hand and embellished with chunky stitch work on a pure linen ground and reverses to a plain coloured ground. The key really is in the detail with these fabulous cushions and when they come together it creates a magnificent site.

Now it is time to add some furniture and texture to this colour story. This season we are delighted to introduce the York 'Mini' Console in venetian white oak, which is more compact in size but with no less of the 'wow' factor than our full size York Console. With its striking white marble top and intricately carved detailing, the quality of design is unbeatable and suitable for when only the grandest furniture will do.

A room is not complete without an elegant and impactful mirror. This season we have broadened our Matthew Mirror collection to include three additional colour ways from our William Yeoward paint gallery range. For this colour story we would like to highlight the Matthew Mirror in 'Seal Pup', a contemporary soft warm grey that will modernise any room.

This season we are also delighted to introduce three stunning new colour ways to our bestselling Kristiana Lamp. Kristiana Rouge is sure to make an impact and the rouge colour way manages to find the perfect balance between traditional and contemporary.

Mink Pink Paint

A scheme would not be complete without a lick of paint on the walls. For a neutral backdrop to this colour story use our Pink Linen paint which is white with the tinniest hint of pink mixed in to create this delicate and palest pink tone. For a more bold look use our Pomegranate or Library paint colour, being daring with your paint this season is sure to pay off as they are set to be this years colour trends. Alternatively, a grey paint colour never goes amiss use Cockatoo which is a wonderful shade of grey with a slight pink undertone or Grey Ink for our most dramatic shade of anthracite.
